Gabriela is a Mexican/British actress and dancer who started performing at the age of 16. Being a musical theatre actress and playing the piano since a very young age, she was very much involved with music and therefore in dance.

She started dancing Jazz at the age of 12, being trained with the Luigi Technique, often referred as the “Father of Jazz”. At the age of 22 she started training with Guillermo Tellez, who is considered one of the best dancers and choreographers in Mexico City and who got Gabriela involved with the FOSSE Style. She then participated in several musicals in Mexico City including RENT and Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dream Coat.

In 2005 she moved to London to study a Musical Theatre Course at the Arts Educational School of London.

Being a Latin American she has always been passionate about Latin music and dance, considering Salsa her favorite style, not only for its rhythmic and joyful music, but because it makes you feel and look confident and sexy!. Gabriela trained Latin Jazz and Latin technique with DanceMyWay and she is currently one of DanceMyWay assistant teachers.

Marketa

- Brazilian Samba teacher and choreographer Trained in DanceMyWay Latin technique and teaching methods.

Marketa started dancing and performing jazz and modern dance in a young age and always wanted to explore various other dance styles. This inspired her to audition for the youth contemporary dance group Union Too,that is part of Union Dance Company who combines numerous dance styles including; jazz, ballet, hip hop and martial arts. With the youth group she had the opportunity to perform at some of London's celebrated venues including Sadler's Wells and The Royal Opera House.

Her initial introduction to Latin styles came through her contact with Capoeira, (the Afro-Brazilian Art, which incorporates dance, music and philosophy). In 2005 Marketa started her training in capoeira under Mestre Poncianinho, and was immediately intrigued and attracted by the freedom of movement with the absence of choreography. With her Mestre, she also learned Brazilian Samba which she fell in love with not only for its hypnotic rhythms but also for the immense positive energy you can create through the body movements that she also brings into her classes.

Marketa has found a great base with DanceMyWay, as it incorporates creativity and freedom in movement as well as using very strong Latin technique, which creates a very unique and elegant style that she enjoys dancing. Marketa is one of DanceMyWay teachers, teaching samba courses as well as teaching samba classes. Her strong dancing background, understanding the body and training in our method makes her an excellent teacher.

Marta

- Latin Jazz teacher, choreographer, wedding dance instructor Trained in DanceMyWay Latin technique and teaching methods.

Marta has always been passionate about expression through the form of dance. From age of 6 trained in ballet, tap, modern and jazz through which she discovered musical theatre. Between age of 11 and 18 she attended Italia Conti School of Performing Arts at weekends; performed in many stage shows; entered choreography competitions. In 2008 she danced on the ITV show “Everybody Dance Now”.

She has a BSc in Psychology and she is currently working towards becoming a clinical Psychologist.

She discovered Monika’s Latin Jazz class while keep taking different dance classes and fell in love with this new style. Marta has always admired the technical ballroom Latin style. Latin Jazz was a perfect combination of these techniques and her background which she could adapt.

Her talent was noticed straight away and has become a solid member of DanceMyWay - performing, choreographing and teaching. She believes that dancing well you must primarily have fun and enjoy yourself – so as well as teaching technique and posture, she wants her students to feel comfortable using their bodies, and express themselves through the rhythms of Latin beats. She would like to combine her passions – psychology and dance – into dance therapy.
