Wedding Dance Lessons

We teach wedding dance for couples on a daily basis. The first dance can be stressful for some couples, especially because they either have never danced together before or simply because they are not used to being watched by many people. It is a challenge and they feel they have to impress the audience. Most of the times they think this is the most embarrassing moment on their big day….

Can you recall a feeling when you've seen an amazing couple dance, dancing so smoothly, coordinated, enjoying the music and it looks so simple? They hardly do anything sophisticated but still you can't take your eyes off them?

Well, this is it….it's not rocket science to learn. It is about understanding the basic rules of relationships and transferring them to the dance floor.

You don't have to learn a special dance form, or a special choreography, unless you really want to. The idea is to be able to dance together as a couple, to understand that dancing together on the dance floor is a reflection of your relationship in life.

On the dance floor there are some basic, strict rules which if you learn you can dance together any time, anywhere to any music!!!

Monika is an amazing teacher with great knowledge. Her methods are unique! We highly recommend her!

Learning your wedding dance is a skill for life... Keep Dancing!

  • Rule N1: The Man leads and the Woman follows! (Never the other way around)

  • Rule N2: You both have to agree on the choice of your music. It helps when you choose something which you both LOVE!

  • Rule N3: GIRLS! Even if you are the one who follows, you still have to be in control of your body and feel comfortable
GUYS! : You are the MAN! Even if you are the leader, you can't forget that your role is to make her feel comfortable. And you also have to make her feel beautiful and shine!

  • Rule N4: It has to be clear who is the Girl and who is the Guy! A man who is clearly seeking the attention of his surrounding on the dance floor, forgetting about the fact that he is actually dancing with a woman, is not a man who any lady would want to dance with….Brrrr!!! A woman, who does all the work (thinking of the next step, variations, turns) and tries to control the man, clearly will have difficulties to enjoy her time in her man's hand. She wont have a chance to shine, I am afraid!

We wanted some crazy choreography to impress our guests, but when we started our lessons, we were realized - what we need is to know how to dance together. We were happy to learn how to dance together without knocking each other over all the time. The choreography and impressing others didn’t matter anymore. We learned to enjoy our dance together... We loved the lessons!

Thank you for the work you’ve done with us for our wedding dance. The dance went so well and we had so many wonderful comments from people. You created such a great rapport with us and made us feel so comfortable, while also gently pushing us out of our comfort zones!
- Vicky

I always thought I had 2 left feet. But 3 lessons with You, Monika made me so confident on the dance floor and I realized that I actually can dance
